We will do our best to provide you with accurate and up to date estimates for expenses and discuss all options for care prior to performing any procedures or treatments. If you do not receive a written estimate please be sure to ask for one. We do require a deposit for all animals being admit to the hospital for treatment and procedures.
We offer our clients financing for their pet’s care through CareCredit. Please follow this link.
Hospitalization Policy
Be advised, all animals that are admitted to the hospital for treatment or surgery need to be current on the following:
- Rabies vaccination
- Distemper vaccination (Feline Rhinotracheitis-Calici-Panleukopenia vaccine or Canine Distemper-Adenovirus Type 2-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus vaccine)
- Flea preventative (if fleas are found on your pet, a product will be applied at client’s expense)
State Voucher Policy
We do accept State of Connecticut Department of Agriculture Animal Population Control Program Vaccination/Sterilization Vouchers. These vouchers can be obtained in two ways: 1. By adopting an animal from a state pound facility. 2. By applying for low income assistance. For more information or to apply for low income assistance please follow the links below:
Appointment Policy
To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.
For your convenience, “Day Care” appointments are available. A “Day Care Appointment” means you can admit your pet to be under the veterinarian’s care for a portion of the day to offer you convenience and quality of care advantages. Your pet will be examined, treated and monitored throughout the day, allowing for the doctor to manage your pets care while spending more time with your pet. The doctor will call you to discuss your pets health and treatment, while arranging a discharge time.
Please call us to discuss this option with our staff, as we offer this by appointment only and as medically appropriate.
Patient Arrival Policy
For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier.
