Vaccinations for Dogs
6-8 weeks (first exam)
- First DA2PP vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus2, Parainfluenza and Parvo Virus)
- Bring a fresh stool sample so we can check for internal parasites
9-12 weeks (second examination)
- Second DA2PP vaccination (done three to four weeks after the initial vaccine)
- First Leptospirosis vaccine
- First Lyme vaccine (if doctor approves)
12 weeks or older
- Rabies vaccination and examination. The first rabies vaccine is good for one year; subsequent vaccinations last for three years.
- Bring a fresh stool sample so we may check for intestinal parasites.
13-16 weeks (third examination)
- Third DA2pp and second Leptospirosis vaccine which will finish the series and be good for one year if given when the puppy is 16 weeks old or more (must be two to four weeks after the previous vaccine)
- Second Lyme (two to four weeks after the initial vaccine)
Vaccinations for Cats
6-8 weeks (first exam)
- First FVRCP vaccination (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia)
- Bring a stool sample so we can check for internal parasites
9-12 weeks (second exam)
- Second FVRCP (three to four weeks after initial vaccine)
- First Leukemia vaccine (if doctor advises)
12 weeks or older
- Rabies vaccination and exam
- First vaccine is good for one year, subsequently good for three years
- Bring a stool sample in to check for parasites
13-16 weeks (third exam)
- Third FVRCP (done three to four weeks from previous one)
- If the kitten is 16 weeks old, this concludes the series and is good for one year
- Second Leukemia (if doctor advises three to four weeks after initial vaccine)
